Leaf Peeping

Oh, the beauty of Fall colors — we came in search of the changing colors and we mostly found them! As we crossed through New Hampshire in the White Mountains and then over into Vermont just north of the Green Mountains, we traversed through areas of “not quite there” foliage to the most brilliant of reds of the Red Maples, blazing yellows and all shades in between. We were very fortunate to have several gorgeous days with beautiful blue skies, but we also had several cloudy days as well. Our boat tour on Lake Winnipesaukee was all cloudy, so no photos of merit. Despite it all, we had some wonderful drives through the mountains — its pretty regardless of the weather.

In Shelburne, VT, there was a curious collection of “scarecrows” or at least that was the first impression. Although, not exactly — along the way, I saw numerous ones in the small towns much like a Fall decoration theme at many homes. But in Shelburne, they were everywhere and quite unique!
